Distillery Dog

A world-class distillery at
Station Lane.

Station Lane Distillery is where craft, tradition and modernity combine to produce world class Single Malt Whisky.

The distillery’s location is unique for not only for being built on Australia’s largest peat bog but also for being 770 metres above sea level.

Our international success can be attributed to the cold nights and warm days of the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, which we believe to be the perfect conditions for ageing world class whisky.

It all started with a dream to make the best whisky in the world here in Australia.

When serial entrepreneur Mark Coburn declared to his family that he would drink 20 year old Coburns Whisky on his 70th birthday, they knew if anyone could make it happen it would be him.

By his 49th birthday, Mark knew he needed to get spirit into the barrel to meet his audacious goal.

What followed was the building of The Station Lane distillery in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

Today we have over 250,000 litres of whisky spirit aging in over 1000 barrels.

How it works

1

Purchase barrels of whisky at wholesale cost
Early investor John spent $9,000 on a barrel of whisky with a fixed return of 9.5% compounding annually.

2

As your barrel ages, the value of your whisky appreciates
John’s returns compounded over 4 years as the whisky matured.

3

At maturity, we will buy your barrel of whisky back
We bought John’s barrel back at purchase price + returns for a total of $12,938.

Barrel investing is far
from new.

When you invest in barrels of whisky, you participate in a centuries old Scottish tradition.

In the 11th century, travelling monks from Europe introduced the art of distillation into Scotland by fermenting grain. The first mention of the name Whisky is in 1494 and the first documented distillery is in 1608.

Investing in barrels of whisky became a popular way to fund distilleries and place money in a safe and high-demand asset.
